Next club outing

There's nothing like a little confusion to make the day interesting. Please ignore the previous post about the trip to Brisbane. IT'S OFF!! I forgot that the weekend of 25th and 26th August already had two things going for it. 25th is the outdoor portrait class at Fort Lytton, to which some members are going. For the same weekend, we received the invitation to meet with the Brisbane group at Bribie, and some members are interested in that. All members have received e-mails about these two events. We will make our official club outing on the Sunday (26th) and announce more details as the date gets closer.

Blog posts

Suzanne has spent a lot of time enhancing our blog. All the listed contributors are able to make posts or add pictures to the page, but please be careful what you do. If you are not certain as to the correct way of doing something, please ask before barging in. If you mess things up, you will have to fix it yourself or the blog will die. Suzanne is still a learner in this field, and if things are messed up too much, she may not be able to fix them. Norm

Portrait Workshop

The portrait workshop was a great success, for those that missed it, sorry you couldnt make it.

Doug Steley a very qualified photographer from Maroochdore came down and we did Portraits in the park, using available light, I think I can say that everyone had a very good day. Dug kept all this class on a level that we could all understand,
Our resident Model " Sarah" and this time a few friends all made the day even better. I am putting together a pro show production of the photos to give to Sarah, so if anyone has some they would like to send, or bring along on a disk to the meeting I am happy to add them. So far I dont have to many shots myself, as I was busy doing this that and the other, :)

Well thanks to Lyn, Tracy, Lea, Katrina, Alan, Norm, Evan & Kerry for attending and making it a very good day. I will upload a few pics for those that didnt attend to have a peek at.

I will be adding a tutorial of some sort on this blog weekly, so please make sure to check the blog on a regular basis, see what wonderful delights I can come up with. Todays post is "18 Days to Better Digital Photography" by Amy Renfrey. She is a very talented photographer, so go have a look and see just how much you can learn from this very simple tutorial!
